Het Afrikaans staat drie dagen lang centraal in muziek, toneel, literatuur, poëzie en lezing. Met oude en nieuwe namen, zoals Gert Vlok Nel, Amanda Strydom, Chris Chameleon, David Kramer, Denise Jannah, Breyten Breytenbach, EKM Dido, Ronelda Kamfer, Niël Rademan, Gideon van Eeden, Louise van Wingerden, Calvin Ncqaku, Themba Ndimande.

Visitors of FOCUS11 will experience a huge variety of artistic production from the diverse scenes all over the African continent and from the African Diaspora. Conceived as a complement to Art Basel (June 15-19, 2011), FOCUS11 showcases a huge variety of artists and galleries. This year's accompanying programme starts with a symposium and ranges from performances to artist talks to workshops and guided tours.
