Opening exhibition at the ASC: ‘Look at you’, with lectures and discussion

At the occasion of the opening of ASC's new exhibition 'Look at you' there will be a debate and discussion about the way our perception of the other is formed. Visual artist Frouwkje Smit and documentary photographer Karine Versluis will dialogue with Felix U. Kaputu, who was born in the Democratic Republic in Congo. He is a Professor specialized in African Studies, African Politics, Literature Religion, Diaspora, Art and Pedagogy. Literaire voordrachten worden afgewisseld met spoken word, muziek, stand–up comedy, dans– of theaterperformances. Muzikaal begeleid door Pablo Nahar en gepresenteerd door schrijfster en initiatiefneemster Christine Otten. Speciaal voor bezoekers uit het centrum van Amsterdam pendelt ook de Bijlmerbus weer tussen het Leidseplein en Amsterdam Zuidoost. eindtijd ± 21.45u. Met o.a.
