Comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout; razor sharp wit and dark humoured stand-up comedian: Angel Campey; Hannes Coetzee composes his own songs; Lean Coetzer, a dancer, choreographer and performance artist; iconic SA acoustic guitarist Tony Cox; Handspring Puppet Company; Het Nieuwe Lied - Singer/songwriters Eefke den Held and Wilko Sterke will perform together; Quintin Goliath aka Jitsvinger is an established Cape Flats born conceptual writer, composer, educator, musician as well as an overwhelming performing artist; Thijs Maas with 12 Dutch performers unite their single powers to become a force to be reckoned with on stage. Live Art brings together a range of artists from the fields of visual arts, dance, theatre, music, architecture and literature. Most works are collaborative and interdisciplinary, with artists from across South Africa as well as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, Cameroon, Nigeria, Netherlands and Ghana. The Festival will take place in various spaces at UCT’s Hiddingh Campus, Erf 81 in Tamboerskloof, the Cape Town City Hall and several clubs in and around Green Point.
