Minyeshu Kifle Tedla is een kind van twee werelden. De Ethiopische zangeres woont sinds 1996 in Nederland en combineert Ethiopische dansmuziek met westerse soul- en funkelementen. Zij slaat een nieuwe weg in op haar meest recente album Black Ink, met een stijl die het beste omschreven kan worden als Zarethiopique: ‘Zare’ is Amhaars voor ‘vandaag’. Voor dit concert in het Bimhuis speelt Minyeshu haar Zarethiopique in een speciale jazzversie: opzwepende grooves die je meenemen naar de nachtclubs van Addis Abeba!
