Gastvrouw deze avond is Tineke Dorr. Die reise van Isobelle speelt tussen 1894 en 1994 en beslaat vier generaties. Centraal staat het leven van de vrouwen in de familie. Hun letterlijke en figuurlijke reizen vanaf het begin van de Boerenoorlog tot aan de geboorte van de democratie in Zuid-Afrika vormen het weefsel van het verhaal, waarin met name de spanningen tussen loyaliteit aan de familie en loyalteit aan eigen overtuigingen worden onderzocht.
