Amsterdam Roots Festival 2016 + Roots Open Air
Het Amsterdam Roots Festival, 19e editie, wordt gehouden van 30 juni tot en met zondag 3 juli 2016. Met het gratis Roots Open Air nu in het Oosterpark op 3 juli 2016. En op de andere dagen de Roots Indoor concerten in theaters als Melkweg, Paradiso, Bimhuis en North Sea Jazz Club.

Soweto Soul! tributes the musical soul of the townships. In a collaboration of different generations of South-African artists and the Dutch producer/guitarist Joep Pelt different music styles as Pennywhistle Jive, Hip-Hop, Mbaqanga en Kwaito are being melted together. The result is a dynamic show which will move the crowd! Supported by Afrovibes Festival & the Performing Arts Fund.
