promotie: Tracking an Invisible Great Trek
Woensdag 26 Juni 2013 13:45

Promovendus: F.Brandt. Titel proefschrift: Tracking an Invisible Great Trek. An ethnography on the re-configuration of power and belonging on trophy-hunting farms in the Karoo.

Sultana Haukim (Mauritius) - Artist Talk
Donderdag 27 Juni 2013 19:30

Sultana Haukim currently is artist in residence at the Thami Mnyele Foundation studio in Amsterdam. For the past few years her work has been focused on issues related to the fate of women in our modern society. Her themes seem often to develop from personal experiences towards certain issues that she is faced with as a Muslim woman and a human being. Living on a multicultural island which has a great influence from Africa and India, she is very much concerned about the condition of women living in countries which are predominated by patriarchal society.
