Spectres of History: Documents in Contemporary art

Panel discussion on the use, by visual artists, of visual or written documents in the construction and representation of historical narratives. In connection with the exhibition Spectres by Sven Augustijnen (Belgium). In Spectres, Augustijnen follows former Belgian civil servant, Jacques Brassinne de La Buissière, who is obsessed with uncovering the historical truth around the kiling of the DC Congo's first prime minister Partice Lumumba.
