The duo of Ethiopian singer Eténèsh Wassié and French bass and sousaphone player Mathieu Sourisseau creates a mixture of rock, improvisation and Ethiopian soul. Eténèsh Wassié is well known in the Azmaribet scene of Addis Abeba. uKanDanZ is a French group that plays Ethiojazz and rock, combined with polyrhythms and lo-fi electronics.
