Misheck Masamvu - Leatherette (paintings)

It is the second skin, taken up to make do and protect one’s beliefs.  Referring to a society too sacred to ask questions. People incapable of dreaming and having an ambition; somehow they find themselves in a place condemned and unwanted. There, they find a way to destroy each other, and renew their bonds in cerebral anniversaries. It is a mind game, where one’s present reality is overlooked and replaced by hope of what might come.
