Le Guess Who?: Terakaft (Mali), Eric Copeland, Mad Professor

In the Malinese desert the entire kosmos is reduced to only a few elements. While the sun and sand scorch you during the day, the stars guard over you at night. In a similar fashion, the traditional guitar patterns and percussion of Terakaft will bring you in a hypnotized trance-like state and transport you there. And you know you’re in good hands: founding member Kedou is a celebrity in his own land, known for his part in the history of the rebellion as well as his musical contributions in Tinariwen and Terakaft.
