Book Launch: Queer Africa 2 - new stories
With contributions by 26 authors from seven African countries and the US, Queer Africa 2: New Stories offers a refreshing antidote to the often one-dimensional depictions of African queer identities. The book, published by MaThoko's Books, an imprint of the Johannesburg based Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action (GALA), will be presented to a Dutch audience on Monday, 20 November 2017 at 5 PM. The book brings together the historical and contemporary, the affirming and disquieting, the urban and rural. At its heart, the collection celebrates the diversity and fluidity of queer African identities, offering a sometimes radical re-imagining of life on the continent.
