The Africa Festival has been taking place for 1989 and it has become Europe's biggest festival for African music and culture. Since the very first festival more than 1,890,000 visitors form Germany and other foreign countries have come to Wuerzburg's Mainwiesen to witness the cultural wealth of Africa and to participate in Africa's zest for life.
